Housing Crisis
Central London is at the sharp end of the housing crisis. The capital has the worst levels of affordability and the highest levels of homelessness in the country, with one in 50 Londoners living in temporary accommodation.
Central London boroughs are committed to delivering more homes in order to address the housing crisis and drive growth.
An effective transport network is vital for the success of central London’s economy. CLF makes the case for sustainable transport funding in the capital, and for investment in infrastructure to unlock growth. The Bakerloo Upgrade and Extension is the next big opportunity for the capital, with the potential to unlock sites for tens of thousands of homes, and to boost the economy by £1.5 billion annually.

Digital connectivity
Advances in digital technology are increasing demand for data and for super-fast connectivity. CLF’s Digital Connectivity Programme supports the roll-out of super-fast digital technology, in collaboration with its member boroughs, to keep residents connected and to ensure central London remains economically competitive.
